PS3 To Have Same Launch Price As PS2?
Report says Sony will price the PS3 under 40,000 yen, raising speculation that it might launch at the same price as its previous two consoles.
"Today, Japanese Web site Impress PC Watch reported that SCE has told its business partners that the PS3 will be under 40,000 yen ($370) at launch. The news has spurred speculation that the company might launch the machine with the same price it set for the PlayStation and PlayStation 2."

Check out this NES knock-off, Generation NEX by Messiah Entertainment. It supports the old NES library, sadly no SNES :'(. Comes with one (wired) controller as what other console package have done, features a rumble support which I think is kinda wierd to feel a reaction of your 8-bit character getting hit..., and dual cartridge slot for NES and NeoFami. Of course, by the time Revolution pops out, these knock-offs will probably start to drop ;/.

XBox 360 Prices Leaked
"Earlier today, XGP Gaming received word that the price(s) for the XBOX 360 were 'leaked' around the net. As we expected, there will be two 'versions' of the XBOX 360 available for purchase. Start saving now!
The first package consists of the basic console, one controller, cables, etc. and is set to sell for $299.99(US).
The second version contains the 360 controller(s?), remote and the HDD loaded with extra content. There's no word yet on whether or not this package may include the camera. The price for this package is...wait for it...$360(US)." -- XGP Gaming.
Price sounds reasonable, could be a challenge for the PS3
Remember:
Free XBox 360 is always available!! :D

Playstation 3

Okay, before ppl screaming about how I don't have PS3 love, I better start posting something. I. Am. Teh. Playstation Whore. Out of the 3 nexgen console, I'm looking forward to PS3 the most. Many of you, of course, have seen news updates about what is going on at E3 right now, with IGN, G4, Gamespot all being there and all :/. So that being said, I don't know what else to write except for me bragging about it. The console system is looking way way OH WAY hot. The games on the line-up has been pretty spiffy fantastic. Sony still making us ask the question of reality, which I hope they will freakin stop! Come on, ppl! Discuss, Discuss!
Here are some links that I've been looking thru:
- IGN.com: E3 2005: PS3 Official
- IGN.com: E3 2005: PS3 vs. Xbox 360
- Playstation 3: Inside & Out
- Joystiq: Sony @ E3 - Live PlayStation 3 shots

Free XBox 360
GratisNetwork have launched a free XBox 360 site. This is pretty hard to believe knowing that the price for the console is not even set yet. But I guess 8 referrals is a good amount for the console system. Free360XBOX.com
I guess freeplaystation3.com and freenintendorevolution.com are to be announced ;p

@Find Ebooks w/ Google
Here is the complete command line or I guess, keywords to finding ebooks with Google.
Google keywords: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" +("/ebooks"|"/book") +(chm|pdf|zip)
"What does all of this mean? The -inurl htm and -inul html is attempting to get rid of regular webpages and show just index pages [may I also add: -inurl shtml]. Looking for index of in the title is doing the same. Using the pipe ( | ) tells google to look for something OR something else. Here were are telling google to look for book or ebook directories... and we have listed several common ebook formats (zip, pdf, chf)." (Hotniss.com)
You simply type all the keywords in order or not in order to find any book you want. Of course there are limits on what you can find. Not EVERY book is available in ebook version. But I gotta admit, you find the most strangest stuff with this Google Hack (i.e.: KFC fried chicken recipe)
Here's an example: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" +("/ebooks"|"/book") +(chm|pdf|zip) +"linux"
*Special thx to Hotniss.com*

Fragging Father Bush

Burnout: Revenge
A trailer of the new upcoming Burnout sequel is now up in GameTrailers.com. From the look of things, the environment seems more real, with the addition of wide open areas and tons, tons of traffic. There's also a darker feeling in the game, instead of the colorific sega-style racing game. They promise a fall 2005 release on XBox and PS2 (Sorry, no GC love here). Trailers are available in QT/WMP regular and HD.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Release Date (...Again)
"Following months of delay, the video-only release will hit Japanese retail on 9/14/2005 carrying a price tag of 4,800 yen. A limited edition version will be released at the same time, with pricing to be announced."
The least Square-Enix can do as an apology is to extend the ova to 3 hours long, mwa ha ha haa!
***Update (From AC.net):
"He[Tetsuya Nomura - Character Designer of FFVII:AC] revealed that all rendering is complete, and only the film's audio component is left. The audio is expected to be finished at the end of May, with synching starting in June, and the final preparations and editing starting in July. Promotions and production will start in August. Nomura promised that there will not be anymore delays."

Homebrew Gameboy Emulator for PSP

First homebrew Gameboy emulator has been released for PSP. Big news for everyone, specially the folks over at ps2dev.org. It only works for the Japanese PSP, the very early version of 1.0. I don't have a clear idea if it is regular Gameboy or Color or Advance, but hey, the screenshot's in color :/. BTW, no sound support yet. Don't whine, it's only the first release ever. And the graphics cannot be stretched.
P.S.: On the topic of PSP, here's a link to a Free PSP.

JPEG to ASCII
With that being said, you guys should know what you need to do next. Get yourself some movies (would be SO much EASIER if they're already in an avi format), get yourself a video program like VirtualDub. Cut a specific part of the movie that you like. Make it no longer than a couple of minutes because we are trying to make a .gif animation here. Do not forget to adjust the video size to something smaller than (again) 200pxl. After getting the clean cut piece done, save it under anything you want with a .avi format (for the sake of this article, I'm calling it technolyze.avi).
The next program that we need is Adobe ImageReady, an application program that 'should' come if you have Adobe Photoshop 7 or newer. With that being said, open up your technolyze.avi in ImageReady and it should open it up frame by frame. This is the reason why we only want to cut a short amount of the video here because opening a video file frame by single frame will take an insanely long amount of time. Plus, it might cause your machine to freeze up. After all the frames being load up, go 'save optimized as' under the file menu and save it as a GIF. You may tweak around with the number of colors setting in the tool bar on the right to maybe make your gif filesize smaller or to let the ASCII show a clearer converted image.
After this is done, open up the GIF file on ImageReady. This should make it easier for you to identify each frame and modify the time and all that. Save each frame as a motionless GIF or even a JPEG, use the site to convert them, and poof, you're done.
The step that I am still currently learning right now is javascripting. Which is what that Matrix ASCII is running of to do the animation sequence. I'll update this article once I find out how or whenever I learn it lol. A website that I would recommend is W3Schools. They have many tutorial articles relating to HTML, javascripting, XML, etc. A cheap and cheating way to go is probably just copying the source page from that Matrix ASCII site :/. THAT is if you are REALLY cheap and feel like cheating.
I got pretty far on this tutorial non the less without actually finishing it, you gotta admit ;p.
